The Machine to...

The project was the interaction between the two spaces – South Praga industry that inscribed in urban landscape for good, and craft, which for various reasons started to disappear slowly. The participants performed from post-production waste "the machine to ...", which finally we inserted into unused shop windows at South Praga.

The imagination of young designers decided about a destination of created machines. Under the supervision of a physicist (Mechanical Engineering Department of the Technical University of Warsaw) as well as a designer, workshop participants tried to answer the question - what machine would facilitate us (not) daily activities. The inspiration was "chindogu" - Japanese inventions that with a pich of salt tell about human weaknesses to "life facilitators." The finale was joint placing the machines in closed shop windows. Thanks to this form of presentation, closed exhibition windows gained a new function, and the authors of inventions found a wider audience.
